Brothers Larry and Jason McMann were born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. In 2016, Larry moved to Traverse City and has since dedicated his career to caring for the local community as a physician at Munson Medical Center. After spending years serving patients throughout Northern Michigan, Larry wanted to build something that would continue serving the community in a different way-through honest, dependable automotive repair.
Jason moved to Traverse City approximately three years ago with their mother and brings more than 20 years of automotive experience to Cherry Capital Auto Clinic. Throughout his career, Jason has owned and operated several automotive repair shops in the Metro Detroit area and has worked on everything from routine maintenance to complex diagnostics and repairs. He is excited to bring that knowledge, experience, and passion for automotive repair to Northern Michigan.

Jason McMann brings more than 20 years of automotive repair experience to Cherry Capital Auto Clinic. Throughout his career, he has worked at independent repair facilities in both Michigan and Texas, served as a technician for large dealership groups, and successfully owned and operated two automotive repair shops in the Metro Detroit area.
Since relocating to Traverse City, Jason has worked at several local repair facilities and has gained valuable insight into the needs of Northern Michigan drivers. He recognized a common frustration among customers: long wait times for vehicle inspections and repairs, often caused by a shortage of highly skilled technicians and experienced diagnosticians.
Known throughout his career as the technician other mechanics turn to for help, Jason has developed a reputation as an expert diagnostician with the ability to solve complex vehicle problems that others struggle to identify. This level of diagnostic expertise is increasingly rare in today’s automotive industry and especially valuable in Northern Michigan.
Jason believes that exceptional customer service and clear, honest communication are just as important as quality repairs. His goal is to ensure every customer understands their vehicle’s needs and feels confident in the repair process from start to finish.

Gabe moved to Traverse City from Florida three years ago and quickly fell in love with Northern Michigan and the community that makes it special. A graduate of Northwestern Michigan College’s Automotive Technology Program, Gabe earned his Master Mechanic certification in 2026 and has been building his career in the automotive industry ever since.
As a first-generation American whose family immigrated from Mexico, Gabe comes from humble beginnings and understands the value of hard work, dedication, and treating people with respect. He believes Traverse City provides incredible opportunities for young families and is proud to call Northern Michigan home.
Before joining Cherry Capital Auto Clinic, Gabe worked at a large corporate-owned repair facility in Traverse City. While there, he saw firsthand how customers were often treated like numbers and how little investment was made in employees, equipment, and technology. He knew there had to be a better way.
That’s what attracted him to Cherry Capital Auto Clinic. Gabe was excited by the opportunity to work in a brand-new facility with state-of-the-art equipment alongside owners who genuinely care about their customers and are committed to helping their employees succeed.
Gabe is proud to be part of the Cherry Capital Auto Clinic team and is excited to help build a repair shop where customers are treated honestly, repairs are done right the first time, and relationships matter. Our team includes State of Michigan Master Certified Mechanics trained across gas, diesel, and EV powertrains, including Lead Mechanic Gabe, a Northwestern Michigan College Automotive Technology graduate with Master Mechanic certification.
